NCAA Brand back ACC Ability to Expansion

Myles Brand, President of NCAA, expresses support for conferences to change routinely. He feels ACC should work in their best interest.

And this about sums it all up, doesn't it. These changes are "inevitable" that the strong will eat the weak. The day may come when the powerbrokers of the BCS conferences tire of carrying the Dukes, Vanderbilts & Baylors of college football, as well. Just think...someday Miami is going to be exposed as a program that doesn't draw well enough to warrant their inclusion with the big boys.

The sooner all of college athletics moves to align schools of similar ahletic budgets into more regionalized conferences, the better the competition and therefore the entire inter-collegiate athletics experience. It has always seemed inevitable, but you can never underestimate people's resistance to change.
