WR ZACH ZIMMERMAN

Postby westexSMU » Tue Jul 24, 2007 9:43 pm

during the spring game, Zimmerman had 2 long TD catches. Both times he was open behind coverage. At 6' 1" (SMU Roster) I was wondering about his speed ? SMU Roster also says he was High School district high jump champion.

whew. Every time I see a player's name as the subject of a thread, I expect to open it and see "...word on the street is he's left the team."

Glad he's still with us.

It has been stated on here before, during the spring, that Zimmerman really likes SMU. So know need to worry. Just interested in knowing his speed.

Zach isn't about to quit but I mean, nobody is going to blatantly come out and say I HATE IT HERE! or anything along that line to the public.

Do you know something we don't?[/quote]..............This is the same guy"southerncomfort" who also said D.J. Emerson was leaving. A reliable source said Zimmerman likes it here.

Did it ever occur to anybody that maybe I'm NOT talking about Zimmerman who doesn't like it here...what I'm saying is being interpreted in every way but the right way. I'm saying that not everybody on the team loves it here but they'll grin and bear it, if only for the thrill of playing D1 ball and getting an education.

Again, I am just asking about Zimmerman's speed ? Any information ?

Haven't asked ZZ himself, but I've heard he's in the high 4.5s.

In new Ponyfan article JUST GETTING STARTED, J. Willis said of Zimmerman, " Zach Zimmerman is another guy who's going to give us a spark. He's faster than he looks. In the spring, he was burning cornerbacks. He's very good at the point of reception, and he adjusts really well to the deep ball."

That might not be good for our DB's. We used to always hear that Foy Munlin and Richeaul Massey were tearing up our defense when they were on the scout team...............
