The bogus NCAA offensive mascot ban rule has struck again.

Anyone know how North Dakota is doing in its suit?

The Seminoles support the use of their name

Doesn't the Sioux tribe support North Dakota's use of the nickname Fighting Sioux and the NCAA still went after them?

Yeah the Florida State instance was a real nice F U to the NCAA. Not only did they fight it but they went and recieved the support and approval from the Seminole tribe.

I think North Dakota is getting its problems from the Johnny Cash Estate, and that boy named Sioux.

No, what happened is they were going to change their name to "fighting sue" but the NCAA told them they would not be allowed to offend the trial lawyers.

Can you do anything that actually would offend a trial lawyer? Other than not sharing your seat that is.

I thought it was going to be the "fight 'n sue," but the NCAA wouldn't allow such bold behavior from a school not in the high society of the BCS.

I thought that was the divorced, middle-aged woman who beat-up her ex-husband?

I hope some team renames themselves the Fighting Whiteys. That would be awesome.

They should change their name to the Fighting Knuckle-dragging Neanderthals and see which group gets offended by the use of an extinct species.

Easy. Offends women. Needs to be Fighting Cavepersons.

Also, there may still be cave dwellers in some third world country that would be offended. And one never knows how a Native American whose ancestors were cave dwellers would react.
