Some really great items will be on sale at the Heritage Hall Garage Sale beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 in the Letterman's Room in Moody Coliseum.

Souvenir football programs dating back to the 1940s; video/DVDs from the Doak Walker/Kyle Rote era; highlight video of the 1982 football team; radio broadcast on audio cassette of undefeated Notre Dame almost being spoiled by SMU in Dallas in 1949 (Doak Walker's last collegiate game but did not play due to injury); photographs of athletes in all sports on The Hilltop; tabletop replicas of Ford Stadium; DVD from 1968 Astro Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston with SMU v Oklahoma; DVD of SMU's Final Four team; basketball game films from the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc.; golf equipment accessories with SMU sewn on them...and much, much more!

All proceeds go to the preservation of SMU's Heritage Hall. Come buy a piece of SMU history and show your support for the Mustangs!

I missed the garage sale. Does anyone know if there will be some other way to buy some of the items?

One of the many notices mentions an online sale in the future if you read through them all. I am too lazy to help more than that. Be aware, however, that I doubt that Hixson and McIlhenny will come to your place and autograph the CDs.

**EDIT** The online sale will be September 1.

Thanks, I'll probably forget about that one too, but hope to make it, cause it looked like they had pretty cool stuff. How was the event? was it a success?

Thanks again, Mrydel.

The sale was a success! No word yet on how much $$$ was raised for Heritage Hall.

Unfortunately, Chuck Hixson was unable to attend due to a last-minute change in schedule. Lance McIlhenny was on hand along with Rich Herrscher to sign autographs.

The videos/DVDs that were sold will soon be available online. Gerry York says around Sept. 1st is when that will happen.

Plenty of souvenir football programs, DVDs, audio tapes, videos, photographs and other items reflecting SMU's athletic history were sold.

My apologies to Big Jim Johnston. He was a last-minute replacement for Chuck Hixson.
