Texas Bowl: Big 12 vs. Conference USA
Houston, Dec. 28
Virginia vs. Southern Methodist
We're working under the assumption that the Big 12 won't have enough bowl-eligible teams to fill all its bowl tie-ins. That would leave room in the Texas Bowl for an at-large team such as Virginia, which ought to go 7-5 if its offense improves much at all this season. The presence of Southern Methodist would at least give this game some type of local flavor. The return of quarterback Justin Willis – last year's Conference USA freshman of the year – could help the Mustangs earn their first bowl bid since 1984.

I'm excited that some publications are predicting SMU to go to a bowl this year.
But the potential [deleted] baggery in the stands that is sure to come with this game might be too much of a beat down for me.
That being said I'd probably fight through it and go.

He has to be referring to Houston fans.

Yeah, I hadn't heard anything bad about VA fans.

the ponys are predicted for the New Orleans Bowl also-
Troy vs SMU. There was another bowl mentioned from another
publication, --I cannnot remember the bowl. So there are 3
bowls that have the ponys listed now.
Which bowl game would the fans want to go to?

Lots of [deleted] bags that look like they walked out of a Brooks Brothers catalog and don't really care about the game.
Both fans are pretty apathetic. Mustang "fans" more so than Cavalier fans.

UVa would be kind of fun. I have a bunch of friends who are UVa. grads. Might be a great excuse for a road trip.

You don't think 1st time in 20 some years is a good excuse?

Actually, many of my friends here are UVa grads. I went to law school with many of them and some of my high school mates went to UVa. So, I see Wahoos all the time. So I was thinking more in terms of a road trip with them. That would entail, well, drinking, and.... more drinking, and if we get bored, more drinking and oh I almost forgot, go to the game. They are the only people that I know that can hold their liquor as well as Mustangs.

UVA would be a great bowl game. There's a good deal of Virginia kids at SMU.
