On the Rivals story about the media day, they mentioned Barry and Handy playing in the middle of the DL. Does anyone know if this is accurate? I thought that Handy had been moved to End. But if he gets moved back to the middle and Justin Smart is showing enough to move to the outside, I'd say that's great news for the line.
Or is the Rivals reporter just looking at Handy's profile where he's listed as a Tackle?
I'm guessing its the latter.

Saw Justin jog by the house on Saturday; a close friend's family lives down the street. He looks lean and cut.
He likes pre-med. Really enjoys the campus. He said that housing is a problem right now; on-campus rooms are pretty scarce (are they doing renovations on any residence halls?). He is pretty humble/quiet about his prospects. He did say that since he had gotten there, they were pretty settled on him playing DE. I ask him about OLB or some similar, and he said he would play where they put him. He just wanted to be there.
I hope he gets his shot. Not knocking anybody else, but I am really hopeful about his prospects at SMU.

Yes, they are doing renovations to a lot of the residence halls. Not all at once of course, but they were renovating Shuttles last semester and I believe they start on Mary Hay this semester.

And he's a good one, too. Fast, long arms, REALLY strong (see the 500-pound bench press). Everyone knows about Muse, and Handy makes me feel good about the DE spot overall. There's always going to be a dropoff to the second teamers, but the starters are fine. It's the interior that makes me a little nervous.

Sports, and all that implies.

Other than the report I mentioned above, I haven't seen or heard of any change from the Spring Depth Chart, so the line is:
DE Handy
DT Berry
NT Parham
DE Muse

Somewhere...some way...some how...the name ELIZEE needs to be in the interior line rotation. PLEASE NCAA...GIVE US A BREAK HERE!
That would give us the extra lineman we need, regardless of who starts, in case somebody has to be spelled or God forbid, gets hurt.
