One Month to Go!

And the 2007 S.M.U. football season gets underway. Pony Up!

(Not to be confused with the new Dallas Cowboys' marketing campaign, "Cowboy Up!" ...or the Texas Tech Red Raiders' slogan, "Guns Up!" ...or the Oklahoma State University Cowboys' slogan "Cowboy Up!" ...)

I am getting sooooooo tired of waiting. July is the worst month for a college sports fan, nothing is going on. At least we will start to get practice reports next week.

I LOL at your, not to be confused section & love your avatar sig.

If that is left to right, his girl friend seems very young.

I clicked your EBAY store link and found an interesting item description. "An item no true SMU fan should be without." Which is telling considering you are the SMU "fan" who purchased tons of items at the heritage hall garage sale only to peddle them on EBAY.

I just want to be the first to thank you for depriving real SMU fans the opportunity to purchase some really nice items directly from the school so that you could open an EBAY store with them.

Actually I was there. I made the trip up from Houston for it in fact. I saw Gerry, his wife, and Ted. I saw all the work and trouble they went to in order to make these memories available to real SMU fans. I got a Doak Walker autographed picture, a special 83 cotton bowl package, some posters and pictures, our new media guide, among other great items. Items that were intended for people that cherish SMU. Not items intended for someone trying to make a quick buck flipping them on EBAY.

Gerry did not put this together because it would be a huge money maker for heritage hall. He certainly did not go to this trouble for people to supplement their income. Gerry did this because he loves SMU and wanted to share with other fans the memories he cherishes. I would hate to think Gerry might decide to forgo similar events in the future because of something like this.

What's worse is you didn't merely buy all the stuff that was left over. You went to preview the items the night before so you would know exactly what to buy first thing the next morning. Well I am glad you figured out which items would have high demand enough to shamelessly sell for a profit. I don't have the heart to think about how Gerry would feel if he knew what you were doing. Would you be proud to tell him of your new business venture MM65???
