as being a witness in one of those incidents, i can attest that one of those guys should not have been brought down by the man...

Not wanting/asking you to get into it, but high school buddy/teammate I'm assuming?

That's pretty inaccurate because several of those guys were acquitted, the charges were dropped or they passed drug tests. Not everyone is found guilty, you know.

Now that is shocking...a Longhorn player being acquitted of a crime, in Texas? You can't be serious.

ut has some of the best legal defense around. reminds me of o.j. simpson, you know he's guilty, but he ain't goin' down brotha'!

Yeah, despite [deleted] clean, he's still guilty in your eyes.

I think Mack has actually done a pretty good job this summer. Joseph was kicked off the team, Jones indefinitely suspended (which means kicked off if convicted), and 3 game suspension each for Melton/Kindle. Most coaches would have just given them each 1 game.

I guess on NCAA 07, Dynasty mode will require a WHOLE lot more Discipline points...

...oh yeah, in real life, the NCAA doesn't investigate or sanction programs for being criminals. Oh yeah, unless it's a textbook scandal and the offending program is SMU's.

I so wish I could run into a NCAA type on a plane; I'd love to tell them how much they suck.

Stampede I am curious...which guys are you talking about? I am guessing the guys with possession next to their names.

So the question becomes...what does possession of a narcotic have to do with "[deleted] clean"? Where does possession infer consumption?

I'm talking about the Madisonville Four and Brown/Gatewood from last year. In both circumstances, the weed was someone else's, and it was proved when they pissed clean. Then the charges were dropped.

You can't pick who the kids hang out with and if we're counting the above as crimes committed, then it's going to happen at every school, including our beloved SMU.

Don't get me wrong, UT has had a lot of problems lately, and a lot of them are real including assault, aggravated assault, DWI, etc. But the possession was not theirs and it didn't stick.
