Thanks.

From what I hear, it's probably 1530 Varsity at Ford on Tuesday and 0735 Varsity, 1530 Varsity at Pettus on Wednesday. But I also doubt these practices are open to the public...

even if they are "closed", you can watch thru the fence, they don't care.
The only way you can't watch is if it is in Ford.

In the past, the reason the practices were "closed", was to keep people from getting in the way and talking to the players. Being outside the fence and looking in for the most part does not seem to bother them. Just don't be a pest. If they have concern that you may be a "spy", they may come over and question you to get a comfort feeling about your watching the practice. When they seriously do not want anyone watching what they are doing, they move the practices into Ford.

B+. Not terrible, but I have come to expect more of mrydel. A couple more lackluster efforts like that and I will take the dunce cap away from him and give it to someone else.

I stopped by the practice this morning (sat). After about 30 minutes I was asked by one of the staff if they could help me and when I told them I was just watching practice, he said "you know, coach has closed practice, although he's not here today" (which I already knew). We talked for a minute or 2 and he was cordial but i took the hint. There were 2 other folks watching as well but one of them had left already and the other had moved to another spot along the fence.

While there, I watched the QBs, receivers and LB/DBs run passing drills. All 3 QBs looked good. Most of the passes were pretty accurate. #14 (Turner, I think) really had some zip on the ball. Rhodes and turner each threw a perfect long ball. The defense had several breakups and looked pretty good too. I heard one of the players leaving the field comment that one of the receivers burns up the turf and is tough to hang with. Believe it or not, the QBs were actually throwing to the TEs quite often. Let's hope we see more of that once the season starts. By the way, Chase is huge!

That is all...

your right about that butts. we definetly need to see more passes to the TEs this yr. I feel that in a spread O, the TE is key to success in the passing game. we underused kennedy last year and he was always a big target on the field and I was always happy when he touched the ball. so here to hoping vinny and mac have good years as TEs

How many balls, as a % of all passes completed, should the TEs get this year?

43.7

Thats kind of a pointless question, no? The answer is as many as when they are open and in a better position than someone else, right? We obviously aren't going to be like, "OH GOSH I GOTTA THROW EVERY FOURTH PASS TO A TE"
