Aldrick RobinsonThe DMN quotes Coach Bennett as saying the freshman WR might already have earned a spot in the two-deep rotation. Talked to a couple of people who have looked in on a practice, and they said he's unbelievably fast, but also can catch. Supposedly, he looks extremely impressive.
Yes it does.... also - on your game - do the Ponies win the National Championship next year? (Alongside a Willis Heisman?) Because I'll take it. (Oddly enough, most of the time my receivers win the Heisman. On last years game, Bobby Chase won it my first year...) I haven't bought this years game as I still have last gen equipment... but seeing as you just said "on the PS2" I might as well break down and buy it for the system I have. ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
4.3 in the 40. Listed at 5-10. Slot receiver and maybe kickoff returner.
"Not so fast my friends...." Sorry just saw the name Corso on a thread that also mention EA's NCAA football, had to go there. Not from the game, but from real life Corso - "Hawaii doesn't win many games in the United States." I always loved that one. ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
Didn't Hawaii end their losing streak on the mainland against us a few years back?
Probably. I mean before last year... if you really needed a win, come to SMU. We have been very hospitable hosts. Okay sorry to derail the thread... do we know anything else about Aldrick (not to be confused with Eldrick)? ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
5'10, 168lbs receiver runs a 4.4 forty (2* 5.2 rated) had offers from Louisiana-Monroe and Kansas. #94 on DMN top 100 29 catches for 647 yards and 8 TDs as a senior 21 for 651 and 8 TDs as a junior. 1st team all-district as a junior & Senior. Finished 2nd in the 200 at the 4A classification with a time of 21.48. Finished 6th in the 100 with 10.61 time. Oh and apparently is planning on majoring in Theater Chose SMU because it was close to home and we told him he could probably play early.
I guess that means his audition went well? I heard he was going to sing "Corner of the Sky" from Pippin.
Nothing made me laugh harder yesterday than this... it quite possibly made my day. And none of the responses I could come up with were smart enough to use as a response, as in - "He decided it was too cliche, so he went with Luck be a Lady instead." -or- "He dropped a couple passes in practice that day so he went with Send in the Clowns." My brain just couldn't come up with anything that perfect.... though anything from The Fantasticks probably would have sufficed. No, I was not a theater major, but I sure did sit through a ton of conversations about audition pieces. I did Man of La Mancha....... but, long story short, I chose film. It was what I always wanted to do. I cut short my audition, it was two days after burying my best friend. I was asked me to come back when I was more comfortable, and though I wanted to, I politely declined saying that film was my calling. I knew as I walked away had I given the audition a week before, I probably would have nailed it... and had they accepted me - the lure of a top 3 theater program might make me put film on the back burner for four years... I had waited to long, it was time for film.... I haven't thought about that day in a long time. A very long time. ..... But, hey, I'm looking forward to seeing Aldrick go up and snatch a ball from two defenders for a touchdown in a bowl game, and following it two months later as Robert in Company (Bobby baby, Robert darling). ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
Film is much cooler, you made the right choice, Thad. Film directors get all the chicks. As far as Robinson goes, on a serious note I can tell you that the part about him planning to major in theatre is either a typo, or he has been misinformed by somebody. Meadows wouldn't allow it. Theatre majors have Saturday/Sunday classes/rehearsals and crap. 7 days. So I guess he'll have to give up his dreams of performing in "Pump Boys and Dinettes" soon, if he wants to play football.
