Indoor Football Practice Facility

Postby SMUstang » Tue Aug 14, 2007 3:32 pm

Does anybody know if SMU has any plans for an indoor practice facility for football? If so, where on the priority list of new facilities is it? It seems like one might be a good idea. It would be good for recruiting against the likes of TCU and Texas.

Based on meetings I've attended, there are no current plans for an indoor practice facility for football. There are lots of other items in the near and long term for which development has been discussed, but not this one.

I hate to say this, but why would you want to waste money on a team that hasnt been to a bowl game in over 2 decades...lets not even think about an indoor facility until we win/get to a bowl game...so we can discuss this after the season then.

So is Longhorn football...but they have an indoor practice facility. Not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

Maybe they are entitled to a little cushiness after winning so much. I still don't get indoor practicing. I think the Cowboys having camp in SA is dumb for the same reason.

I would vote for Mrs. Bairds. The smell of the bread would make the players want to stay and practice longer.

Economics class in 1977 was a mess when the windows were open and you could smell that bread baking...fond memories and a slimmer waistline years ago.

Mrs Baird's would be a good choice, however there are other plans for that area.
