Me and Julian Herron and Kinkos

Bizarre evening.

I run over to a local Kinkos and there are three guys waiting for an order. One of them is wearing a Cory Muse jersey.

I knew is wasn't Cory, but I looked at him and asked if he played football for us. He pointed to his brother who turned out to be Julian Herron, the LB from Arlington Bowie.

First of all, Herron appears to be a really nice and respectful young man. And with his frame, he has room to grow.

He was going to be redshirted this year anyway, but he had minor surgery on an ankle. But he was moving pretty well.

Anyway, he's taking 15 hours and is really excited about being with the program. I'm sure someone can find his offer list, but he told me he had offers from Washington State, Arizona State, Kansas State, Rice and a couple of others.

Looking forward to seeing him in uniform next year. Again, seemed like a good kid who wants to take advantage of the great educational opportunity in front of him.

Good luck, Julian.

Julian had offers from A&M, Baylor, Washington State, Arizona State, Rice, UTEP and Tulsa. And I guess it's not technically a 'Cory Muse' jersey so much as it is just a #11 jersey...if that makes sense.

there goes my Herron to SS idea. The General actually provides interesting factual info. Now that is something to cheer about. Herron is probably our least publized quality recruit.

I think most of his pub came on signing day. Wasn't he the guy PB was talking to on the phone while awaiting his letter of intent?

"Where's that fax, Julian?"

Nice report, Patton. I also had heard about Herron's ankle, and am glad to hear he's getting around OK. I don't know about the lack of pub - I got pretty fired up over the idea of a LB who runs in the 4.3s.

Get healthy, Julian, and get back on the field!
