Leach cracks me up. Check him out doing the weather if you haven't already seen it.

He's really grown on me. I always try and listen when they're interviewing him because he'll say absolutely anything.

Oh_my_god. That was funny.
I know a lot of people around here are angry at him because he supposedly tried to run up the score on SMU a couple of years back. I have nothing to say on that issue.
He is, however, my favorite coach (besides Mack, of course) on every other Saturday besides the one he playing Texas. The guy is really funny and I'd love to catch him in a bar one day and buy him a drink. I bet he'd be a blast to talk to. He's also on my list of people I'd love to go fishing with.

Hang around Abuelo's Mexican Food Restaurant in Lubbock and you'll usually see him there.

That would require me going to Lubbock... which I drove through last week and I couldn't wait to get the f out of there.

Understood. But since he doesn't leave Lubbock often (except for out-of-town games) that's where you'll find him. Bob Knight also hangs out at Abuelo's.

Nice touch allowing the actual weatherman to call a couple of plays during the spring game. Think we could work it where PB allows Dale Hansen on the sideline and has him call a couple of plays?

Only play Dastardly Dale would want to see would involve our safeties
cheating up to the line of scrimmage.

Hell no. Besides, he wouldn't come to SMU even if invited.
Yes, The Leach is funny, and I hope Coach Bennett and the Ponies give him a long, miserable ride home Sept. 3.

And that, my friends, would be funny.
Well at least fun... for us. I don't know if we'll be laughing, per se.
Hey do you think we can make a few throws for the endzone with the clock running out if we're up by more than two scores? Just curious - would that be humorous? Or just being spoiled sports?
Oh, not that I am predicting being up by more than two scores at any point in the game, just a hypothesis.
(And if we do get up by more than two scores, let's pray it's not early.)

And set it up where no matter what play he calls, we run everybody to the sideline.

Like Leach said about the dangerous weather,
"You're going to be dead in 100 years so go out and live it up.''
Good stuff.

You'd have to buy him a bunch of drinks for it to be memorable for him.
