First play?

Enright snaps the ball to Justin Willis.

Willis turns to his right and hands the ball to DeMyron Martin.

Martin takes one step toward the right, then cuts back to the left, following a pulling Caleb Peveto.

Martin tosses the ball to Columbus Givens coming around from the left on a reverse. Martin blows up the defender chasing Givens.

Givens races around to the right, following Enright, Kenard Burley and Vincent Chase. Just before getting hit, Givens — the former high school QB — fires a pass down the right sideline to Willis, who strolls into the end zone.

At least that's the play I'd call!

But will they run the swinging gate on the extra point?

playaction to Martin with a 40 yd pass to a streaking Aldrick Robinson who will burn the hell out of a shocked Tech secondary.

Everything right up until Givens passing the ball. But then he fumbles. TTech ball on the SMU 17.

OR

Jesse Henderson takes the kickoff at his own 15, makes a couple moves, one guy misses, outruns another two and takes it to the house, running down the Tech sideline. But what's that? Illegal block in the back? On who? Where? Half the distance to the goal? Damn! 1st and 10 at our own 7.

Now, if what I propose does NOT happen, then maybe the football gods are finally looking upon us kindly

A sundial isn't a clock. It's a sundial. That's why I don't call my Big Ben clock at my bedside a sundial, even though it seems in this day of digital, a Big Ben might as well be a sundial, cause I am always having to reset the hands.
