He has really been heaping praise on his new starters especially his offensive linemen and WRs who are mostly untested. Seems like in the past he generally has been more restrained in praise for such players. It could be that he is trying to instill confidence.

and I'll say it again and again, 90% of our players couldn't have gotten a scholarship offer to Tech.

UNT can say the same about SMU and that didn't stop them.
