When do we get to the point where garbage like this doesn't happen? I really hope these kids perform, and I'm pulling for them w/everything I have, but how many schools in the country have to put up w/this? PB has all his own kids and we're starting 2 freshman on one of our lines. Obviously, its due to injury, but quality squads rarely have kids that young in the 2 deep, unless they are exceptional.
Go Stangs! Kill Tech!

I know we have injuries, and we have high hopes for the kids replacing them, but where is the upper class depth?

Tech is starting a true freshman on the D-line. They are very, very thin there.

You mean we aren't the only team to have a freshman start on the line!?! I thought that was just because we suck.
Just because

A freshman may start but more than likely you will see Charlie Berry in the entire game at DL. So it's nothing to be too worried about...

Muse is a senior.
Berry's a senior.
Handy's a junior.
Parham's a sophomore.
Dizer's a sophomore.
Griffin would have been a junior.
It's not like every defensive lineman is 18 years old.

Tech has this prolific juggernaut  they're going to hang 50 on someone, and with our new faces, it could be us. If we lose by one or lose by 50, it's still a loss, and none of us will enjoy it. Then we'll come back next weekend and beat the hell out of North Texas State JC. We're supposed to lose Monday. I, however, am driving down to Dallas to cheer like hell in the hopes that the Ponies prove me wrong. I'll be back next Saturday, too.
GO MUSTANGS!

I'm already here, and I agree with you..... call me crazy, but we're going to win this game. I hope all the players are listening to "Pony Up" by the KnuckleStangs, er, Knuckleheads non-stop.... all but Willis, maybe.. he can just repeat the "we got our [deleted] a quarterback" line over and over again. Because we do.
And it's because of that dude - and believe it or not, DeMyron - that I think we are going to pull this one out. The defense will struggle in their debut, but they will do just enough.
Yes, I'm a damned fool... but I believe.
(This 2007 team has got me kind of frisky.)

I'm at the Greensboro airport at 530 a.m. about to catch my flight to Dallas to see the folks and the stangs. Iagree Thad, maybe its the pony up song, but Ido have a great feeling about this game.I even have my wife and kids singing pony up.

You are right, but of the best that are available to us on Monday two of them are freshman and one is a sophmore. Having older players doesn't matter if they aren't any good. If Berry was all that great of a player (not saying he is terrible, don't hang me here) he would be able to win a starting DT job over as a senior over a freshman.
Thought through

Les play a scenario game. Could it be possible the reason Berry is not starting is because he missed a lot of practice with a strained neck? Or the practices he missed because he was sick. Just because one guy gets to play one snap doesn't mean he will be in there the entire game. Yes Charlie Berry is good enough and deserves the start. Sometimes you just have to make all the practices...that is why speculation is dumb...when the truth is quite obvious
