I am not disappointed, having had no expectations. But I am no longer worried about our defense (only). Now I am worried about all aspects of the team.
And great call SMU instituting a no re-entry policy at halftime. Just run off the few fans that remain. Great job.

I think there was at least one gate you could go in and out of in years past.
On his little coaching show, Bennett made a point of saying how Willis had learned to throw the ball away. Boy was he wrong.

Very true about that. It appeared as if Willis tried his best to make something out of nothing but you cant always turn grapes into wine.

Guys: this is Tech, and a good Tech. Please don't use this as a measuring stick.

Yes, thank goodness we get the Shunnedbelt cellar in NTSU next week. At least our Big 12 team didn't hang 79 on us. Of course they pounded us last year.

There is a very real possibility of not winning a non-conference game this year.........

No - sorry snob - I know you love to revel in the negative but there is no chance we don't win a non conference game.

the second half was a debacle. most disappointing thing was the lack of any spark or anything coming out of the halftime lockerroom. The first half wasnt horrible, we moved the ball and then stalled in the red zone a couple times. defense created alot of third and long situations but then failed to stop them time after time on third down. really frustrating. i actually thought the kicking game hurt us in the first half. real shallow kickoff gave them great field position to start the game and it was uphill from there.
We win the next game

The Tech game was a mismatch on the line of scrimmage, so we couldn't put any pressure on their QB. Losing to Tech does not affect next week's match-up against UNT where SMU will look much better. However, the Arkansas State game and the tCU game could be difficult.

Actually this is supposed to be a down year for Tech given all their graduates from last year and the number of youngsters that they are going to have to play this year. Obviously, SMU has WAY overrated themselves this year. There goes all the money spent on marketing!
