I can't believe I paid $50 for a ticket to see another SMU A-kickin and got my umbrella stolen to boot. Why were we not allowed to carry our umbrellas? I know it's only a $20 umbrella but I'm just curious.

You're obviously not famous enough--

b-t-w, some guy gave me a "free" $20 umbrella when I left the game for staying until the end...

Can't block out the view

We can't possibly afford to block the view of the dismal game on the field in case it rains. Maybe we should wear raincoats and flash the crowd.

SMU officials didn't want ESPN viewers to witness a mass hari kari in Ford Stadium with Mustang fans skewering themselves with their umbrellas.

We should allow umbrellas into all future games after last night to make it look like we have actual fans in the stands.

I was confused as to why some people made it into the game with their umbrellas and others didn't. There was a lady a few rows behind me that opened her umbrella when it was raining. One of the yellow-jackets came over and asked her to close it. That might have been a little hard to do if everybody was doing it at once, but nothing huge. I was a little surprised to see the pile of umbrellas on the table when I walked into the stadium.

Umbrellas have not been allowed in the stadium since it was built. However, some are now as small as flasks and many of you know that you can get those inside. It is just a little more conspicuous when you open an umbrella than when you open a flask.

A little rain won't kill you. Bring a hat next time.
