whadya think?

I'll tell you what I think. I'm surprised I only thought Tech would win by 23. Yes, I expected a loss again, but it's hard to see what we saw and not think of it as a regression.

Tech fan after last year's game in Lubbock: Man, that QB ya'll have...he's a player.

Tech fan after this year's game: What happened to Willis? Wasn't he like 6 of 17 for forty something yards at some point?

I'm not placing any blame whatsoever on JWill, mind you...just opposing perspectives. The marketing campaign has been built around Willis, and as they always say...if you get credit for the success, you'll take responsiblity for the shortcomings.

I will give props to the Tech fans this time around though. They seemed more mild-mannered than out in Lubbock, and than last time at Ford. In fact, I think Houston last year, UTEP and Baylor the year before were louder.

In Lubbock, I gave the benefit of the doubt to the OC that they were limiting the offense to get Willis comfortable.

Now a season later, I believe it is the OC or PB that is holding back the offense.

Without question, in 2007 we find...:
* Our QB is more experienced yet he throws for fewer than 200 yds in a spread pass offense.
* The O line is, if nothing else, bigger, stronger & more experienced than year prior.
* Our beast of a RB, DMart, is huge & strong but we audible to run him wide.
* Our WR Corp is more athletic than in previous years yet we run basic routes that could be covered by most of the Greek flag FB teams.

Uh, tell me what I'm missing???
