About that new Sound System

I would suggest they take the the guy who pleads for "Third Down Thunder!" and the one who runs the volume of the sound system and hang them both in front of those enormously LOUD speakers and play "Itsy Bitsy Teeny-Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" over and over for them at that horrendously loud volume they used Saturday. My God it was loud! People all around me were stuffing paper into their ears! Did we do ANYTHING right Monday?? (Wait! BUS did a great job on the Blvd! That almost mad eup for it!)

I wore foam ear plugs and the noise was still uncomfortably loud. Last man-made noise of that magnitude I've experienced was at a Ted Nugent concert.

How old are you people? The sound was fine where I was. Better than in years past.

I too had no problem with the sound.

I thought that the sound was finally up to good standards.

They should have played a song during the "Raider Power" chant.

Yeah, the song "Happiness is Lubbock Texas in the Rearview Mirror" would have been my idea...

The audio was crap. You guys have been subject to such horrendous sound reinforcement at Ford and Moody for so long, you probably just can't hear right anymore.

During the Pluckers commercial, when the audio sounded like some demented combination of pink noise and a locomotive horn, my wife wanted to leave the stadium (good thing we didn't now that I know about the readmision policy). It was boarderline physically painful.

Well, I used to produce large outdoor Blues Festivals and have been associated with outdoor sound in rock and blues concerts for many years and played in several high powered rock/blues bands...and that sound at Ford on Saturday was WAYYY over the top! You guys have had your ears deadened if that wasn't loud to you.

On the away side of the stadium the sound was reasonable if not a little soft.

If the announcer had been broadcasting SMU scoring more than 9 points against TT, none of ya'll would really have cared about the sound.

No..when people are stuffing paper in their ears (as they were where I was sitting on the 45) it is too loud!

forget the sound system, how about a new announcer that doesn't mess up every other word that comes out of his mouth?
