why did we allow Tech to start the game with the ball AND the wind? As the game started there was a mild breeze out of the south. Cunninghams kick was real short, they ran it back to the 50 and then score on first possession leaving us in a hole from the start. Never been a good comeback team thats for sure. Willis really seemed to be pressing right from the beginning probably because of all the hype and being behind early and knowing Tech has a great scoring offense. Never looked comfortable and i kind of understand why. hope willis has a score to settle with his hometown mean green this week.

Both teams began their possession with a 46 yard kickoff return. Maybe it was the new rules/return men and the wind wasn't a huge factor.

maybe it wasn't a huge factor, but the flags were blowing noticeably and i still have no idea why we chose to defend the north goal. I'm asking. Was bennett wanting to have the prevailing south wind in the second and fourth quarters thinking his fresh defense could withstand the first quarter? thats all i can think of.
