Just watched the tape...

While I did not watch the second half for obvious reasons, I did manage to pull the gun away from my head in exchange for the Tivo remote to see the first two quarters.

As has been said, we abandoned the run in favor of the pass due to the score. What I still do not understand though is controlling the clock. Even with the halftime score, we were in this game. Martin ran the ball okay when he did not have to go outside and even then it was not that bad.

Willis looked like he was trying to win the game on every play. ("primetime"). I wish he could have a little more composure, but you know the guy has to be feeling the pressure as our "go-to" guy.

I am cautiously optimistic against UNT, but still can not forgive the [deleted] kicking we got.

Yall should of gone to the ground more. The secondary is the strength of our defense. I understand the philosophy of we have got to try and score with them not just play keep away. But A&M plays keep away against us and that helps them.

The RBs and Willis were doing good stretching our defense from sideline to sideline. Then you had some guys like #84 that got open a few times and #86 is a hos. Willis was trying to win the game on every play it seemed like. For a lot of the game it seemed he was getting happy feet then running or just chunking it up there.

The All Out call for the blitz needs to be ripped out of the defensive book though. Our OL had your DL by 80lbs on avg. Yall still managed to pressure us.

Bennett and everyone else I have seen quoted acts like Willis is a 5th year senior. He is only a SOPHMORE folks with lots of room for improvement! That's why I wasn't buying the great improvement this year especially with the losses that we experienced on the defensive side of the ball.

A few thoughts while watching the tape. Bennett said some of the main goals for the season were........better defense in the red zone. grade for 1st game-F . We need our offense to finish drives...F. Our defense must improve on 3rd down......F. Our offense must improve on 3rd down....F.
Bennett said we have to tackle better......F!

Devin Lowey should get a ticket, and get in the stands. Since his freshman season, he has always done his best to stay away from contact. There are a bunch of examples, but I will just use the return after Vincent Chase fumble.
