And it doesn't help your secondary when your weak link on this unit -- the defensive line -- cannot apply any pressure. It leaves them on an island.

What did UNT have about 8 deep completions? Unacceptable.

That's crap - most of those throws were inside of 3-4 seconds - the DBs are playing soft coverage, zone, etc. IT doesn't work against the spread if the QB reads it right.

I agree that our DBs are giving too much of a cushion, but I also know that if they they had gotten up close and got burned for several TDs, you guys would be all over them like flies on fresh garbage. According to the responses from Bennett on the post game interview, the coaches wanted the players to play tighter, but the players were running a little scared having been burned several times. Our secondary is not made up of juniors and seniors with lots of experience. I think as they get more experience and confidence they will get better. They showed a little of that in the fourth quarter when they started to challenge more for the ball and had some good pass breakups...especially in the end zone. Yes the middle of the field is still a problem, but one I noticed a number of the BCS schools had a problem with that yesterday too.
