The SEC might consider expansion, but only if it means adding strength to an already powerful conference. The MAC has shown that 14 teams can work, and it actually can create more regional rivalries in divisional play. In the case of the SEC, I'm sure they would consider bringing in Texas (natural rival for Ark in the west) and either Fla St or UNC in the east. I just don't see Va Tech bringing enough to the table...and I really don't see the SEC looking to expand, but it's true that the rich will always look for ways to become more wealthy.

There's a lot of talk in this part of the country how this ACC expansion will suddenly make the ACC every bit as strong a football conference as the SEC, and that's killing a lot of SEC loyalists who have always felt they enjoyed football supremacy in these parts.
