Martin 18 carries in two games = Not good

You have a RB who apparently committed himself this offseason to be healthy. And he looks great.

Would it be possible for this coaching staff to maybe run him more so he could get into a rhythm. The guy is averaging well over 4 yards a clip and we use him running wide.

That's not his strength. Obviously, use him every now and then. But dammit, establish him between the tackles and get him into a rhythm. In my opinion, a guy like that needs the ball. He should have been over 100 yards easy last night and then Mapps as a compliment.

I think our personnel is pretty decent. But it's becoming more and more apparent that this staff has absolutely no idea how to maximize them to their potential.

We were fortunate last night. But this is atrocious what I have seen through the first two games. I am very disappointed.

At this point, I do not think December football is in our future. I don't see it.

does anyone feel D-train gives up trying to crash through the middle to easily? Don't get me wrong I love D-train, but he seems to see the hole closing a bit and gives up going north south running and tries to go outside and gets thrown for a loss.

Maybe because we give hime plays that go east-west and not north-south?

More DeMYRON...plain and simple. Control the clock, lets see what he has, both physically and mentally. I don't think his redication was an effort to become the best blocking back he could be.

I need to cut and past this because i say it every year...

The playcalling is curious at best. A plethora of high risk, low reward plays in the passing game. And the constant RB rotation is puzzling as well. I bet if you could get Mapps and Martin on record, they would probably be curious to as to what their respective roles are on this team.

Of course I'm biased...I just remember us running Demyron against that FT Worth team and winning the game...

At least they scored from the 1 before half. Could have settled for the FG. SMU had to run the ball there. They alledgedly concentrated on that all offseason and they easily got the job done. Made at least another 3rd and short too. They get a plus for scoring before halftime which was a turning point.

this is why i don't think he'll be our coach next year, with or without a bowl game. he's just not that good at his job.
