He almost broke one last night....so maybe not

It seems to me like every time they give him a chance he always does something good

Never seen Henderson get rocked so often on kickoff returns.

I agree with whomever said it after the Tech game. We have nothing but little and/or skinny guys on the return team. You need some wedge beef to open a hole for Henderson. He is having to do his thing only on speed and quickness. That has worked for a while but he did get beat up a little yesterday. I guess our special teams coach knows what he is doing.

I think he got nailed on the KOR on their TD that tied the game at 31. That was a great hit, even if it was against us.

Thanks, Mrydel. Just like the Tech game, we lined up the "Hands" team all the way back to Jesse. Finally, after Jesse got nuked against NTCC, the Phanton Special Teams Coach put some meat out there for protection.

But rather than work kick return with one of the nations most dangerous runners, we invest our Special Team practice time on the "swingin gate"!

put mapps on the sidelines for KO's... no reason getting him hurt on a KO... Henderson is the [deleted] at returns. not trying to take anything away from mapps, what i am trying to say is he is too valuable to the offense to have him on KO's... sure Henderson got hit hard, but thats what happens when you have wr's and db's blocking... put some more lbs and tes out there... and i dont know who said mapps had more yards returning but they might want to check the stat sheet

average more: yes, total no...
henderson is the guy we can risk back there and he has two years of proving himself... but i really dont want to see mapps getting hurt on something insignificant like a KO return

Agreed. I hate seeing Sanders out there on the punt returns for the same reason. Especially if he's going to get clocked like he did by Tech.

To date, we have not had to worry about Punt Return too much--

" how about a little 3rrrrrrrd down thunder!"
