Big Game at Ford This Saturday! (Not SMU)

Postby MrMustang1965 » Sun Sep 09, 2007 7:09 pm

Wonder what attendance will be like for this game?

from USA Today:

No. 1 Southlake Carroll (Texas) and No. 2 Northwestern (Miami) remained on a collision course for next weekend's "Clash of Champions" with victories over Lake Highlands and Homestead, respectively. Riley Dodge passed for 331 yards and four touchdowns in SLC's 42-10 win over Lake Highlands, the Dragons' 49th consecutive win. Northwestern committed six turnovers and trailed 15-14 at halftime before rebounding for the 28-18 win. The defending state champs from Texas and Florida will meet on Saturday at 6 p.m. on the campus of Southern Methodist University. Winner of that game advances to take on the loser of the Notre Dame-Michigan game ...

Not really...

As much as I dislike the Mean Green our announcers did not have to keep calling them Southlake.

Right. That's an undue compliment that they do not deserve. They are Northlake Carroll Mean Green Vegetables.

I'll bet money on that Stallion. Northwestern is loaded stem to stern this year. I am surprised that they've played anyone close, though
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones
