4th Quarter = No quarter given

Call it blind optimism if you like but I really believe we have improved, and here is the key difference for me. Last year we were stunning in the 2nd and 3rd quarters generally and we could not finish off 4th quarters. I say to you all that last years team (forgetting that they lost horribly to UNT) would have lost last night's game becasue when UNT came back in the 4th we would have folded, our offense would have become middle school ballet and it would have been all over.

This team is different. UNT put up 600+ years of offense and never did not lead in the second half once. I way hats off to PB. When they had to, his D stepped up and made the back-breaking plays that ruined our year last year.

We also seem to have solved last year's chronic short yardage issue. I don't see this team taking field goals from the 1 year line.

Well, there was that critical series towards the end where a first down would have kept the clock moving and possibly extended the score. On 2nd and 1 we run DM right losing yards and then almost get sacked for a huge loss on the next play forcing a critical punt and giving NTSU some hope.

There are some good things from Saturday, but I don't know if we've mastered the short yardage play calling just yet.

It's one game into the real season (I've erased Texas Tech from my memory) and we're already saying we're a 4th quarter team...come on now.

Wait until atleast 3 games in.
