Tulsa Dominance

Probably belongs in Recruiting page, but this morning I was in a meeting with a guy tied into Smithson Valley program and Tulsa apparently is getting ready to pick up another stud defensive recruit. Tulsa already has RB from Reagan that scored 7 TDs in playoff game last year. Tulsa and UTEP recruit and sign San Antonio area kids regularly.

I vented to General Patton and others at our tailgate before Saturday's game, but why does SMU have no presence in San Antonio area, especially at Smithson Valley, Madison (who are both state top 10), Judson etc. When you speak to the people at those schools they all say the same thing -- only Texas schools that didn't call or send letters on recruits were Rice and SMU. There are other players outside of Dallas area and quite frankly some we have signed from Dallas area only just haven't worked out.

Maybe the good players in recent years from those schools coincidentally happened to be players who couldn't get in to SMU and Rice, and therefore the schools didn't bother recruiting? (I have no idea....)

Welcome to PonyFans.com, PiSA (wait - isn't that the first name of the former Hawaii LB who now plays for the Rams)?

How is Marshall doing? I heard that they were doing well again this year.

MacArthur beat Marshall 31-20 the first week, but Marshall was able to beat Churchill this week 14-13. Not bad.

O'Connor is supposed to be sort of class of that district, but Madison blasted them on FoxSports Dodge game of the week 55-15. I'd watch out for Warren which is coached by Bryan Dausin.

Does Texas steal them all? aTm?

Maybe SMU is too white bread for SA recruits.
