A question for SMU fans

I just graduated from ASU a couple months ago, and am considering SMU for grad school possibly. One of the biggest reasons that I am looking at the school is because it is D1 level in athletics so I would have sports in the area to keep my fill

My question is generic, can anyone tell me anything about the campus and the Dallas area. Ive never been down there, and rely heavily on the recomendations given to me by others

Good luck this weekend. I promise if I attend your school Ill become an SMU fan...as long as you can accept that Arkansas State is always first. Hopefully the game this weekend is a good one, with the red and black coming out on top

The surrounding area is gorgeous.
The on-campus "talent" is like nothing you've ever seen.

What kind of graduate school are you entering? Depending on your grad degree, SMU is a great place to go to school.

Perkins Theological Seminary. I know its on the SMU campus but I dont know how its run. Whether you pay SMU fees too or something I dont know

I have several friends that have recently graduated from Perkins. They really enjoyed it. There is a good community at the church next door that supports the Perkins students. I'm pretty sure the additional fees are the same, meaning that SMU student tickets are available for football games.

I don't know much about fees and such, but my cousin went there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Seminary is distanced (at least it seemed to me) from the main campus. Another cousin went to Asbury in Kentucky and loved that school as well.

I figured it was. But im one of those that has a big interest in the university that is around it as well. For example, Ive missed one ASU football game in the last 5 years. My attendance for SMU would be about the same.... You have to support the local teams

Also what are the sports like in the rest of the Dallas area?

Well, by extension, yes. I was meaning Texas (the state), though.
