Ticket Booth problems at UNT game?

Just got the following email from an Executive MBA student that I invited to the game on Saturday. I invited his family and he needed an extra three tickets for his sons and wife.

"Tried to go to the game on Sat. They had one ticket window open at game time and a 1 hour wait. We punted and went home to watch Texas on TV. "

:(

Suggest not waiting until game time to show up at the ticket window. They're open all day Monday thru Friday.

Yep,

I saw that and it was totally unacceptable....they had two...count em.... TWO windows for the whole frickin stadium to do walk up ticket sales. Very embarrassing....We have multiple ticket windows all around our nice stadium that are not being used...just gathering dust.

My theory is that they only have 2 computers that can print out the tickets.....Definitely needs to be addressed...very bush league.

got my amex bill this week and see multiple repeat charges and credits for same tickets. yeah it can happen, but it seems the stories just keep coming about our ticket office. as bad as we need fans how can we afford to run a ticket office this way?

God I hope you are not in a customer based business, because if you are it's not long for this earth.

The Pony Up van that picks up the ticket window workers from the homeless shelter downtown got lost due to the Live Oak exit being closed. The athletic office is aware and will host a sleep over for these folks before the UTEP game and have everbody at their station at least 5 minutes before game time.

Why even have the ticket window open? We should close down all ticket distribution two hours before gametime. If people don't have their tickets, sorry, they're SOL.
Seriously, if we can't handle our box office with the same ease as the Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers, or even a high school football game, there's a problem. I would hate to see our huge marketing campaign go to waste because the ticket office can't pull their heads out of their you-know-what.

In fairness to the ticket office people, I was told by a supervisor-type that their problems stem from not having the same computer terminals and printers at every office or even every station at one office. The result is, get this, they cannot locate and/or print tickets for every seat in the stadium at every window. If that is true, and I have no knowledge of how ticket offices really run, then how bush league is that?

But as I said, in fairness to the ticket office folks, if true, that is an athletic department problem it seems to me.

Buddy went to the ticket booth on the east side and tried to buy an endzone ticket. They told him he had to go to the main ticket office because the east side booth was out of end zone tickets.
