just a reminder-these Thursday games slip up on you. Our dearly beloved next opponent TCU plays Air Force tonite on ESPN.

That would make the third straight opponent that has had more time off than us before a game (given the AR State canceled game), which might not mean anything but I just find odd.

Looks like we'll be without Aaron Brown and Joseph Turner tonight...we are suddenly very thin at RB. Hoepfully it won't matter since it's AF but I usually like home dogs on Thursday or Friday night TV games.

Wow. I would suggest you guys continue to rest them for your later conference games. Do not want to take a chance in your quest for the conference title. You do not need them for your nonconference games. Might want to sit Blake next week also. Just trying to help.

Considering how gassed our defense was on a short week, I'd say that's a significant note.

Unfortunately, we are looking up; and TCU certainly is looking down (at us.) The frogs have already seen all they want of SMU and aren't worried a bit since we go there. As Jimmy Durante used to say, "What a revolting development this is."

Air Force is 2-0 and this is at Colorado Springs, meaning thin air. I could see this as a tough game for the Frogs. Their defense is very good, but they need a little rest given the altitude. A short work week means less time to adjust to altitude. (Can't go up on Thursday for a Saturday game). If the Frogs offense sputters, Air Force might pull off a surprise. I would really not be surprised with an upset. As an aside, does anyone see the humor in TCU playing a game on Thursday night. I thought the move to the MWC was partly so that they could play all their games on Saturday on CSTV and Mtn and be in a BCS conference (that one really worked out). LOL.

The game is actually on CSTV I think and not ESPN which means unless you have a dish or are lucky enough to live in a couple of areas where the cable company offers CSTV you are SOL, like me with Time Warner.
I may actually go up to a sports bar and catch a couple of quarters.

And it's typical to immediately assert your supposed "superiority" on this board for the zillionth time. Enjoy a nice cup of shut up!!

From what is being whispered, they don't know when Brown will be back. Could be against us. Could be October. They said the MCL was strained pretty bad. Obviously, since he's missing at least 2 games.

Yea, I thought the talk about him playing against UT was more of a decoy. Not sure what purpose that would serve but my initial hunch was he would be back for the SMU game next weekend. I guess it just shows how much you need (quality) depth at the RB position.

Ever play defensive back? Didn't think so.
Especially against teams that are going to throw the ball as much as Tech and UNT did, that's a VERY real concern.
