That's because you made the mistake of having expectations of this team. I am not disappointed by losing to ASU, but I would have been pleasantly surprised had we managed to pull off a win.

I have no expectations for any wins for this team, or any bowl game or anything else. I hope they accomplish all of them to my very pleasant surprise.

One question for all of you 8-4 and 9-3 prediction people out there. Did you count ASU as one of your wins?

I wouldn't call it an expectation, but I had a suspicion that unless a paradigm shift happened changing the way SMU fortunes have always gone, 3-9 was a very real possibility. I don't know that 3-9 may become an expectation over the next few weeks.
