My comments, then on to TCU

Beautiful weather.

We were dominated in every phase except perhaps KO returns and punting. Both areas I wish we could have less exposure.

ASU totally dominated us on offense and defense. Thye were very well coached and prepared. They were sitting on every pass as if they knew what was coming. Apparently Roberts knew we were going to run the spread this year.

ASU fans were very nice and cordial (with the exception of one drunk as we were leaving). They came and visted while we tailgated and were very pleasant. I thank them for their most gracious hospitality and decorum before, during, and after the game.

Kudos to our "band". The independent travelers, painted and shirtless (except the women) who, without instruments, "played" Peruna and other selections throughout the game. Great enthusiasm showed, and very loud for a group of about 8.

My thanks to Ponyte, Arkpony and Katie for making the trip enjoyable even with a bad outcome. And to MustangBill for his continued loyalty and company.

I am very disappointed with the showing of our team and although I do not place blame on a message board, I will say that the players semed to be giving it their best.

My sense of humor is resting today and shall return for TCU week and I hope to see all the faithful on the Boulevard for UTEP regardless of our record. This is our team.

Thanks Mrydel. I fully agree with your analysis. Other than the result of the game, I actually enjoyed my trip to NE Arkansas and the chance to visit with true Arkansas and Memphis area SMU fans. The small town campus and stadium were a good place to watch a game. If we have to schedule SunBelt teams, I would much rather play ASU on a regular basis than that music school in Denton. As I recall, ASU had a good contingent of fans at the game at Ford last year. Although we had less than a 100 fans at the game in Jonesboro, we were probably noisier than a lot of games at Ford thanks to our "student band". Good job guys!

Enough has been said about the game. My only question is why we are where we are when this was supposed to be our year? We have simply looked out manned and out coached in all three games especially on the defensive side of the ball.
