that your talent is being wasted. You're a good running back and deserve better than this.

He still hits the line too slowly when he does get the chance to run, though.

Thank you, Jason B., for pointing out what everyone else misses. DeMyron doesn't have a quick first couple of steps. With this line, the holes close by the time he gets to the line.

And for a big, power back, DeMyron doesn't seem to break any tackles, at least not since early in the Tech game.

But really, it's tough to criticize him. We haven't had a lead where we could pound him up the middle and wear people out. We're always playing from behind.

The problem is with the lineman's stance. They set up for pass blocking, not for run blocking. When do they ever put a hand on the ground and fire out? Most of the time they look like they are back on their heels to pass block. The run is supposed to be a surprise in our offense. And then when DeMyron does get the ball it is a delay. He is not taking it full speed into the line like most running plays are designed. The I formation is made for him not the spread. Mapps is better in this offense because he can improvise more. I wish we would change the offense to get more balance, but I guess we will have to change head coaches before that will happen!
