Thought of the Day ASU style
Posted: Sun Sep 16, 2007 12:02 pmWhile tailgating, we were visited by some very nice ASU alum. They were in my age group (dirt) and have gone through many stints such as we are going through now. Thus, they could relate and sympathize.
In speaking with them the subject of the name change of their mascot came up and one of them said they are seriously (tongue in cheek) considering changing they mascot to the "Engines" and submitting it to the NCAA. I truely wish they would. They could have a locomotive as a mascot but maybe keep their current one around somewhere in his teepee, and feel in their own way they had snubbed the NCAA just a little.
