How bitter is Orsini right now?

He poured a ton of dinero into a football program that is on the brink of disaster at 1-2. Well, maybe we're already there.

And then his alma mater (Notre Dame) is off to an 0-3 start for the second time in school history and its offense hasn't scored a TD in 39 possessions this year.

Not a good time to be him right now.

Wow. If 1-2 is the "brink of disaster" there are certainly a lot of disasters in DivIA this year.

I'd say about 1,300 yards and 125 points the defense has surrendered has put us in that category. You keep doing that and that puts your offense under tremendous pressure.

It is the brink of disaster because our defense does not give our offense a real chance to win games. We are supposed to be getting better every year due to alleged better recruiting and red shirting. However, this has not happened especially on the defensive side of the ball. Coaches are paid to get us tallent and to coach the tallent to win games. They have failed miserably.

We have given up 0 yards in conference play. If we start 0-3 in conference then I would say we are in disaster mode. A good coach will make adjustments to win over the course of an entire season. To me, 1-2 or even 1-3 is disappointing but not panic time yet.

Bennett's goal was to get us to a bowl and we all agreed to judge him by that standard. We have not played ourselves out of a bowl after 3 games.

Ugh, these conversations make me feel sick. I'm done with this. I'm going to go fire some some of my coworkers now. That'll make me feel better.

ok, but let's do the math. hate to say it, but a win is not likely at TCU. We are 1-3 going into CUSA play.

To get to 7-5 , we have to go 6-2 in conference.

To get to 6-6, we have to go 5-3.

we went 4-4 last year in conference w/ an easier schedule.

I'll be cheering and watching the games here in NC on CSTV and won't give up. But it doesn't look good.

UCF is looking pretty strong right now. I had that as a possible loss, they look like the real deal after giving the Whorns fits. Either that or UT is not that good this year. UCM is a likely loss. Memphis is better than expected. Tulsa looks pretty strong. Even Rice looked better against TT than we did. There are no gimme's this year. We will have to play near perfect football from here on out to get to 6-6 (which by the way might make us bowl eligible given that CUSA has 6 bowl tie ins this year.

Don't forget, Orsini was UCF's AD before he came here.
