Our Approach to the game and other observations!!!
Posted: Wed Sep 19, 2007 8:40 amI have been amazed at our approach to games this year. It seems that we are trying to run out the clock to start the durn game. We run the ball first and then punt until we get behind by 14 or 21 points. There was a time you began with the running game to open the passing but not nowdays. The most common thing to do now is open with passing plays and move the ball, score and when the defense moves to defend against the pass, then we can run the ball. Old habits are hard to break!
Concerning coaching...we need someone with vast knowledge of football but someone with tremendous drive and spirit. A passion that overwhelms the team and makes them want to climb a hill. A teacher surely, but a motivator is a must.
My predictions for this team are not looking very good at this moment. Our hope is that the inexperience on the defensive line will become more experienced and mature and will not give their quarterbacks all day to pick our defense apart. Go Mustangs!!!
