This game has become very reminiscent of the "97 matchup.

How and Why you ask?

Back then SMU vs. (0-10) TCU with a bowl game on the line-

Outcome TCU wins unexpectantly and begins there dominance for the next decade, as a model for Non-BCS teams!

10 years later TCU 1-2 vs SMU 1-2 (how did we ever win one?)

a much heralded TCU team many picked to break the BCS this year has their season and future on th line much like we did back in "97 a loss to SMU would be demoralizing and would begin a shame spiral

meanwhile a victory here saves a season and possibly a coach's future-

How will it play out...........?

Two years ago, about this time, after the Baylor loss and TCU's win over OU, we were all out of sorts and ready to can a coach. I remarked on this board, "Of course, if Bennett somehow manages to beat TCU on Saturday, we are all going to look like jack@sses." Boy, I hope we look like jack@sses on Sunday.

I just hate losing

and worse than losing, i hate a crushing demorlaizing loss where we look like crap
