Relax

Yes, it is I, the man for whom the few clouds that adorn the Texas sky will always be tinged with red and blue.

Here's the way I see it.

Regardless of Saturday (I think we might win....but I expect to see a huge improvement)

8 C-USA Games

No-one in C-USA is going to be 4-0 going into conference play. No-one looks unbeatable. If we can fix our D. make them 33% better

UTEP, Rice, Tulane at home - we should win those (if our D gets better - and it will)
UCF at home - not impossible
Houston away - tricky but w/o KK we would have beaten them last year and must take heart.
Tulsa away - our hardest game
Southern Miss - Not out of our league, with a bit of confidence we can take them. Not a great offense.
Memphis - Must win - big finale

I say 6-2 conference.

Being the stoning but I'll go down broken and bleeding sayung that I don't think the competition is that fierce and with some improvement, belief and confidence in our offense....

This is football season. It is a short but special time. Let's enjoy it.

Sorry, I just can't agree with you.

Houston - KK was not the issue last year. They passed for 147 yds and 1 td. They ran for 357 and 4. They had a 7.4 ypc average, and Alridge is still there.

UTEP - They were very competitive with Tech and beat 2-1 New Mexico. I doubt we will be favored.

Southern Miss - They may not have a great offense, but they don't struggle by any means. They average over 27 pts/game and almost 400 yds.

UCF - Beat NC State and had Texas against the ropes late in the game. Yes, we get them at home, but they should be one of the top teams in the conference. Fortunately they don't throw the ball much.

Memphis - Haven't really shown much yet. They could be decent, they could be a dud.

All told, I think we may be looking at 2-3 wins unless we fix things in a hurry.

Houston - NO KK and our run D is getting better. I know it won't be easy but all I am saying is wins are possible, if we play to our potential.

Do we really think that our D is incapable of better?

There is no need to run when we give up 500 yds a game passing

UTEP almost beat Tech last year and we would have beat UTEP last year with Willis, so we cannot read into the UTEP-Tech game this year.

You also smoke rocks apparently.

And winning at So. Miss will be next to impossible for us. That is the toughest place in CUSA to go steal a game and we are averaging well under 1 road win per season in Bennett's tenure.

I wouldnt get your hopes up about any kind of CUSA championship in fact i bet the only game SMU wins is against Rice.
