Lets compile a list of things even more few and far between than the rarest of MM65's eBay memorabilia. All these things relate to the Bennett tenure. I will kick things off.

- SMU winning a road football game

- Utlizing our TEs

- QBs that don't quit or get turned into TEs

- Play calls requiring D-Mart to run north and south rather than east and west

- Winless seasons (1 in 6 is rare right????)

- A non facial haired head coach

- Being prepared for an opponent

- In game adjustments

- Commitments from top recruits

Anyone have any other rare occurrences to add????

Going to a game at Ford, going to the 'Vard at halftime and being allowed to return without any hassles from the 'yellow jackets'.

Getting a Coke at a concession stand at Ford in the middle of the first quarter and returning to your seat before the end of halftime.

Scoring first and never having to look back.

Solid entry from the authority on all things rare and SMU.

I'll add: Visitors waiting for less than an hour to purchase tickets from our ticket booths.

Post game interviews that don't include a reference to someone's youth. "Guys, those are redshirt freshmen making those plays." "We're very young in the DT position." "We've got to get better."

Post game interviews where the team's preparedness is lauded. The last such interview I can recall was the last time Rice played on the Hilltop, where PB said "we took the bye week and worked on nothing but the option." Since then, Rice is on its third coach, has been to a bowl and has upgraded its dinosaur of a stadium. Since then, we have won two road games. And still no bowl. And went from 1st in CUSA vs. the run to last in the NCAA vs. the pass.

Rice played at SMU in 2005. The Mustangs won, 27-7. SMU won a road game the following week in Houston against the UofH Cougars, 29-24. The Mustangs next - and most recent - road game win came Sept. 30, 2006 against Tulane in the SuperDome by a score of 33-28.

damn I need to get somebody new to proof my posts. That's two in a row. Good thing I have ya'll to protect my credibility. My apologies to 35straight for briefly forgetting to acknowledge his fine perfomance on the sideline after a game winning FG. :D

Scoring a touchdown, and then simply lining up to kick the extra point, WITHOUT the Swinging Gate....

A Special Teams Coach

The ability to forsee and prepare for the other team's number one receiver and attempt to game plan to take him out of the game.
