someone posted that if 2k ppl gave 500 bucks we'd have 1mm for a coach

Why not form a group of 1000 willing to pony up $1k each to get 1mm to pay the head coach...

Who is the highest paid coach in CUSA - I doubt they make 1mm...

I think Graham makes a million. The main flaw I find with your thought is that each of the 2k have to agree to 500/year for several years. I would even give $1000 for one year if that is all it would be. What will happen if the winning does not happen soon enough. Who is going to enforce the pledges? I would rather we find a big fish or two or three to offer up several million for a package deal for a head coach and money for assistants for a period of a five or so years.

I thought O'Leary made more than a million.

I have actually made it but it took many years.

$1m is probably the min we should expect to pay for the type of coach we need - d1 hc experience, proven/winner, can recruit, can can coach on game day and the hiring will make a big splash in the college football world.

We have trouble finding 5k to pay $200 for season tickets. Our best bet is a few big donors.

O'Leary gets over $1 mil, Tommy West is close to it at Memphis, and I believe the deal Todd Graham got at Tulsa was something like $1 mil.

And for comparison, Patterson at TCU and Pat Hill at Fresno St. are other mid-major coaches who are in the million dollar range.

Plus you would have to come up with the dough to buy out the rest of Bennett's contract that Copeland signed him to!
