It's clear this staff in incapable of winning when it counts

Before I start,
I thought the TCU tailgate section in the north end zone was a great scene. Went to two of people I know, and the spreads were plenty. Satellite TVs setup for other games. Just a great environment.
And nice to see the turnout we brought to Amon Carter. A lot of students. And it was great to be around the co-eds!! God, I miss college.
To the game,
Everyone who watched in the stadium and on TV recognizes this was a game we could have won. Not should have, but could have.
For TCU, their offense blows. Running 3 QBs out there is grab-bag offense. Their d-line is good but Ortiz is better than Blake. Blake is a wuss. Their DBs are great. Great technique, and I thought our WRs earned everything they got.
This coaching staff completely let this team down. You have a 4th-and-1 at the 24 in the final minute of the first half, and you run James Mapps and not Demyron Martin. A source has told me he pulled himself out because he was dizzy.
DeMyron Martin rushes for 100+ yards tonight and did not have a carry in the third quarter. He caught a little swingout for 3 yards. Not one carry. We establish him in the first half, have some success and then go away from him. Regardless this of this dizzy business, he was on the field for most of the period. If the coaching staff was sending a message to him with no carries, then they have no idea when and when not to send a message.
You have two other possessions in the 4th quarter that get to the 20 and 9 and you come away with nothing because your staff isn't organized to manage these game situations. The timeout on 3rd and goal on the last gasp revealed coaches were unprepared to help their players and showed they don't know how to manage games. It's like they freeze.
Did our defense step up? I think it did but again part of that is because TCU's offense is horrible. Two fumbles inside our 12? Awful. That kept us in it.
Can't play a game without some kind of breakdown with the punt team. Remember, UNT last year?
And believe what you want. I believe our talent is as close to TCU as it has been in the last couple of years. It's not there between our OL and their DL, but our DL was fairly equal with their OL.
The keeper of the star said in an earlier thread that we are not executing the plays that are called. I agree. But I also believe that this coaching is not organized enough to get everybody running on the same page. Inexcusable.
I may add to this later...but that's all I have for now.
That said. Get ready for 3-9 because it's coming.
