As we were leaving section T tonight, me and my two friends were walking out through the portal, and then a voice from up top screams!!
F#$% YOU, Bennett!!
As frustrated we were, it just caught funny, we just starting laughing.
That pretty much says it all!!

Yeah...funny. Ha ha.

Good god...there's no originality or cleverness in it. If you think that's funny, go hang around some middle school students. You'll laugh your a** off.

"Me and two of my friends"? Where did you go to school, TCU?
Another line, this time from Steve-O:
"We can still achieve all our goals. I'm not giving up on the program, on the coach or the players. We have everything ahead of us."

Let's see...goals. Hmmm....Top 25 team. Conference USA champs. Bowl game. What are the others?

Steve-O didn't think any more than the rest of us that we were going to crack the top 25 this year. But the conference title and/or a bowl all remain possibilities, so yes, they're still out there. Likely? That can be debated all day, and based on the early games  especially Arkansas State  I'd say not likely. But certainly not out of reach.
I hate losing. You hate losing. I'm damn sure Steve-O hates losing. But there was reason for encouragement, at least, yesterday. DeMyron Martin ran well. The defense actually stopped a legit offense. Will we win every CUSA game? I'm certainly not going to bet on that (gambling is illegal at Bushwood, sir, and I never slice). But if the defense shows up like it did yesterday and Martin runs like he did yesterday, there's not a team remaining on the schedule that's a gimme win, but there also is not a team that is unbeatable, either.

I don't condone what was said. It was a tension breaker and he probably said what a good number of us were thinking at that moment. Or we were thinking what I said on said on my earlier post that this staff can't get it done.
As for the Orsini comment, I would expect him to say that because we have two-thirds of the season front of us with conference play in front of us. But again, this is an either/or season for Phil Bennett. You publicly back your coach like he is doing until you fire him.
We either get to a bowl or we're looking for a new coach in late November.
That simple.
