- his rushing TD was his second of the season and ninth of his career
- now has 1,417 career rushing yards to move into 20th in career yardage at SMU (passed Gary Hammond, 1366 from 1969-70)
Emmanuel Sanders
– 24 yard punt return was a career long and SMU’s longest this season
– Had 98 yards receiving plus 32 punt return yards for 130 all-purpose yards; it was his fifth 100-plus all-purpose yardage game

- Now has 267 career completions to move into 7th at SMU (passed Fred Benners, 266 from 1949-51)
- now has 419 pass attempts for his career to move into 9th (passed Don Meredith, 395 from 1957-59; and Don King, 399 from 1982-85)
Thomas Morstead was 1-for-1 on PATs to extend his SMU record for consecutive PAT makes to 45 (previous was Eddie Garcia, 34 from 1978-81).
