Burns: Elevate it to...what?

from Kate the Great's dispatch, 9/26
Willis' average passing (236.2) and rushing (63) yards are up from 2006 (186.1 passing and 32.3 rushing). But he has already matched his interception total (six), his passer efficiency rating has dipped from 158.4 to 115.6, and his completion rate has fallen from 67.4 to 57.0.
SMU is averaging 22.3 points per game after averaging 27.1 last season.
"He had a very successful freshman year, so everybody wants to elevate it to...you've got to go above," said Rusty Burns, SMU's offensive coordinator. "He can't be the only one. He has to distribute the ball and get it to the people quickly that can make plays. We've had a lot of drops and a lot of busts."
Burns said the offense is moving the ball, but it needs to be more consistent. That means getting in the end zone when the Mustangs have chances in the red zone and cutting down on three-and-outs.
