Ryan LeonardTalked to him yesterday, and asked him if he'd gotten his teeth fixed yet.
He said he didn't take a shot in the mouth. Said he got popped in the nose, which bled for a while. No broken nose, no missing teeth.
Re: Ryan Leonard
I'm quite surprised he didn't get a broken nose the way that TCU player ripped off his helmet. Good to know he doesn't have a broken nose or any missing teeth.
Exactly right. Last night couldn't sleep so got up and watched part of the TCU game again from the DVR and he played very well for us.
Of course, after 2 drives of Burns' offense and no scoring in the red zone I easily went back to sleep.
Prediction: Ryan Leonard makes the C-USA All-Freshman team.
Glad nothing's broken. Now go take out your anger on the UTEP line.
Who said he's the next Bob Lilly? (Nice Frog reference, by the way.) Someone said he's one of the best freshmen in the conference (a conference you often badmouth as lacking talent) at his position. That's hardly a nomination for the Outland Trophy.
I'm coming down to Dallas for Homecoming. I like what I've read about this guy, and I look forward to seeing him play. HOCKEY'S BACK!
WHEN A TRUE FRESHMAN STARTS IN THE TRENCHES ON EITHER SIDE OF THE BALL AND IS PRODUCTIVE,I DON'T CARE IF ITS IN THE SANDLOT I'M IMPRESSED

Stallion, I don't think we are calling him the next coming. How many starting freshmen DL's does he need to beat out for this honor? Especially in this conference?
I don't give brownie points to freshman just to cover for Phil's [deleted] poor recruiting at Defensive Tackle. Just don't think we should handing out accolades for how great anyone on the defense has play so far. yes there was definite improvement in 1 game. Not enough.
Well our recruiting has been [deleted] poor for years and I'm not going to do anything to cover for Phil on that one. However, that is besides the point. Horsepower was predicting the kid would get Freshman all conference. Since we haven't played a conference game yet, and he is one of few Freshmen starting at the Defensive tackle positon, I'd say that you and I shouldn't count him out of the running based upon three non conference games.
A) Since when do your "brownie points" matter to anyone?
B) Nobody is saying he's an all-American. They're saying he's ONE OF the best FRESHMEN playing IN THE CONFERENCE at his POSITION. This is not polishing up for the first round of the NFL draft. It's someone saying this guy plays well. Man, what's your problem? The guy sounds good. Looked good on TV.
