The local NBC affiliate just reported that UTEP starter Trevor Vittatoe was in a car accident this morning. He's OK, but they said it was a "serious" accident that wasn't his fault. He was at practice today but didn't participate. Price was interviewed and said he had "whiplash" and was sore. He says he'll be ready for Saturday's game. Thought you might be interested.

Smokescreen by Price. ;) Seriously, though...sorry to hear that he was involved in a car accident and hope he recovers soon...tell him to stay in bed until after Saturday. ;)

According to a poster on one of the UTEP boards, Vittatoe lost his mom in a car accident before coming to UTEP. This kid is really having to grow up fast.

That is really rough about his mom. By all reports, he's a really good kid. Hope he's OK.

I hope he's okay, but if he misses this week, watch his backup look like the reincarnation of Roger Staubach.

Bad idea to set yourself up for potential disappointment. Better to hope for a pleasant surprise.

That's OK. Staubach's in his 60s, isn't he?

Tell him to call Jim Adler the Texas Hammer.

He would still likely throw for 600+ yards against our secondary. Dandy Don would have a hard time throwing for 300+ against us.
