SMU RB Martin aggravates hamstring
12:56 AM CDT on Thursday, September 27, 2007
By KATE HAIROPOULOS / The Dallas Morning News
[email protected]Junior running back DeMyron Martin said he tweaked his hamstring at practice Wednesday, but he wasn't sure how it would affect him Saturday in the Conference USA opener against UT-El Paso.
SMU hopes not at all.
Martin rushed for his first 100-yard game of the season at TCU, only his second 100-yard game since he compiled four as a freshman. Martin had 19 carries and a touchdown against TCU. In SMU's previous three games, he totaled 94 yards and a TD on 25 carries.
"We didn't get a 'W' out of it, so I need to do more," Martin said. "I felt good about getting more chances to do some things."

I hope it doesn't affect at all either.

UTEP's front seven is really beaten up.
We need the big fella running all over them.

Dorsey is supposed to be back for I believe the first time this season. Did he play against Tech?

Why don't we hunt down CPhillips while we're at it and get him suited up. I bet he's still got a year of eligibility left

You are right about that. In my dynasty D-Mart kept getting hurt, I got fed up with him and slid him down the depth chart bc Dorsey was such a beast anyways. If Dorsey runs against UTEP like he does in EA's eyes, we will roll to an easy win.

And you know it will work because Bennett goes for it on 4th down like he is playing the game on a PS2.
