Stupid Statement Regarding Posting Articles

The DMN knows who subscribes but it doesn't know what part of the paper those subscribers read. The same cannot be said of the website; the DMN does know what webpages on the DMN website get read. Believe it or not, the DMN does track that information. The DMN knows how many times an SMU story gets accessed on a given day. I have been told by people associated with Belo and the news media in general that news organizations, and specifically the DMN, do make decisions based on those numbers.
A year or so ago, the board moderators asked people to stop copying and pasting articles. Fundamentally, it was for this reason.
